This page is the home to theatrical adaptations of a previously unproduced play by Hungarian-born playwright, Miklos Lazslo.

Lazslo's play "And the Snow Falls" (ATSF) was published by and offered to the public by Baker Plays in the 1950s. It was never produced until On Broadway Theater of Coos Bay, Oregon produced the premiere in 1996.

It appears that Lazslo was attempting to capitalize on his very successful Hungarian play "Ilazsertar" (the perfume shop) which he sold to MGM in 1938. MGM then used it as a basis for three films, beginning with "The Shop Around the Corner", "In the Good Old Summer Time" and finally, the 1990s film hit "You've Got Mail" with Tom Hanks and Meg Ryan.

In addition to directing and staging the premiere of ATSF, 1996, I wrote a radio adaptation of the play which was broadcast on Salem, Oregon radio station KMUZ-FM in 2015. In 2019, Spotlight Community Theater in Stayton, Oregon produced my musical adaptation of "And the Snow Falls".
